Here in North Wales we have some of the best rivers in the UK to raft on. We offer a 4km guided trip down the River Dee in Llangollen filled with adrenaline-filled fun for everyone. We also offer a trip on the River Tryweryn, Bala. See below for more details.

The River Dee, Llangollen

This is one of the best rivers in the UK to raft. With the rapids ranging from grades 2-4 this trip will take you through different levels of excitement. Once kitted up you will be transported to the picturesque Horseshoe Falls. Following an individual safety briefing you are ready to head out onto the rapids such as Serpents Tail, Tombstones and the classic Town Falls. Don't forget to tell family and friends to come and watch you from the bridge in Llangollen! Your session will last for approx 2 1/2 hours. 

Session Times: 9.30am, 10.15am, 1.30pm, 2.15pm. (Note: we do not run 2:15pm sessions in Winter)  

We require 4 people to run a session, if you are booking for less please check that we have a session running by calling the office first.

£60 per child (8-16)

Includes wetsuits and all equipment. 

We can offer rafting at other locations: 

River Tryweryn, Bala - Covid 19 means we aren't running rafting at Bala in 2021. 

Starting at the campsite you will travel 4 kms downstream to end at Bala Mill Falls. A great trip.

This site is dependant on a dam release. Please check for availability.

Price: £350 per raft. Up to 6 people. 



How many people are in a raft? Each raft is designed to take up to 6 customers plus our qualified raft guide. 

Whats included?: We provide wetsuits, all safety equipment and instruction. 

Whats the booking fee? We charge a booking fee at checkout which goes directly to the booking software company (Fareharbor) to maintain a safe booking platform. If you don't want to pay this please call the office and we can book you in over the phone.  

Do I need to pay in full?: We are happy to take a 25% deposit over the phone to secure a booking to give you a chance to get money from people. Please call the office to arrange this. If the booking is for 4 weeks in advance or less we do require full payment which can be done online or over the phone.  

What do I need?: You must wear lace-up trainers. Please also bring a towel, swimwear and a change of clothes.

What is the minimum age?: 8 years old. Under 16's must be accompanied by an adult (over 18 years old)

Is this available all year round?: Yes, we run 364 days a year. (only Father Christmas works on that day) 

What times do you do it?: See above for times.

What is the maximum group size?  We can take up to 30 people in one session. 

Do you have a maximum weight limit? Our maximum weight limit is 120kg for all activities and a maximum chest size of 52 inches(132cm)  

Do I need to be able to swim?: You don't need to be able to swim but you must be confident in water.

What if the river is too big?: At certain times of the year the river comes up and we are unable to run rafting sessions. During these times we will arrange an alternative activity or re book you for a later date. 

Do you give refunds for cancelling?: If we cancel for safety reasons you will be offered an alternative activity on the day or we will keep your booking open for 12 months. If you cancel then please refer to our terms and conditions for our refund policy.
